was Argentinier über Capria sagen

Beitragvon MartinD » 14.07.04 @ 22:01

Hier die Meinung eines Fussballfans aus Buenos Aires zu Capria:

"Family soccer connections: brother of Ruben "El Mago" -The wizard- Capria, an exquistely technical player who played in many Argentinean teams but for some reason never made it to Europe or the national team. El Mago is about to be retired soon. Diego is younger. I saw El Mago do real wizard-like things...extraordinary free-kick goals, or dodging 4 players in a diagonal row only to beat the keeper with a subtle lob....remarkable player. But of course you want to know more about the youngest brother. So let's return to Diego himself.

Physical characteristics: he is abouyt 1.90 meters tall though not very robust. Rather slender and relatively fast. Blue eyes and prominent nose.

Soccer abilities: He's natural position is central defender (or full-back in the old denomination). He's technique is above average for a defender -no wonder after having grown up with El mago at his side- and has good header and aerial powers generally. He can have a commanding presence within the team and has been on many occasions captain of his team.

Antecedents: He played not only in San Lorenzo but also in Racing. That speaks well of him, since he played in 2 of the historical Big Five of Argentina (the 5 are: Boca, River, Independiente, Racing and San Lorenzo....in that order of importance too). He also played in Brazil, I think Gremio de Porto Alegre.

Overall assessment: we are not talking here about an exceptional fuori classe defender -such as, say, Walter Samuel- but he is a good-to-very-good defender who has substantial chances to become adapted to the Swiss lifestyle since he comes from a rather well-accommodated family for being a soccer player in Argentina. So he's not likely to be punching people like El Tony Barihjo, known as the man 'you would not want your daughters to go out with'."

Anmerkung zu Barijho

Beitragvon MartinD » 15.07.04 @ 20:37

Wiederum aus Buenos Aires folgende News:

"Now Boca has 2 new players you might know: one is Guly -he was in Milan and then some other Italian team- and Palermo. And the same day Palermo returned, Tony Barijho was transferred to a completely unknown Russian team, which apparently was the only team on earth willing to count with him right now. Probably he'll be returning any time soon."

Vielleicht trainiert er ja auch bald wieder in Niederhasli...
