I know, four business men have bought the club in 1997. But before, it was financially supported by the trade unions. That fact does naturally bring a connection that survives the decades.
The history of a football club is an important part of it. For example, many decades ago, the Grasshopper Club Zürich, our local rival, forbade the jews to become a member of it. Still today, no single jew in Zurich would even think about supporting the Grasshoppers, although the mentioned rule has been abolished many decades ago.
