To unge tilhængere af den schweiziske fodboldklub FC Zürich blev tirsdag ved retten i Brøndbyerne idømt 70 dages fængsel for vold mod politiet op til UEFA Cup-kampen mellem Brøndby og FC Zürich 15. september. En tredje ung schweizer, der også har siddet varetægtsfængslet siden kampdagen, blev frifundet.
To young supporters of the swiss club FC Zurich was, by the court in Brondby, sentenced 70 days in prison for violence against the police before the UEFA Cuop match between brondby and Zurich on the 15. september. A third young swiss, who also have been in prison since the matchday, was found not guilty
Hundredvis af rasende fodboldfans var i klammeri med politiet på den ene eller anden måde, men alle andre end de tre gik fri af sigtelser og varetægtsfængsling. Hundreds of angry footballfans was in a brawl with the police in some way, but everybody but the three went free of charges and prison. The trouble started when a guy wrote graffiti on a window in a train and it has been a lesson on how things can get out of hand, when the police underestimate the risks og riots.
Schweizisk politi havde forud for kampen advaret kollegerne i Danmark om, at 50 af cirka 400 medrejsende schweiziske fodboldfans var at regne i kategorien B - medløbere der kan finde på at lave ballade.
The Swiss police warned the danish police, before the match, that 50 out of aprox 400 travelling Swiss fans was in category B - camp followers who could make trouble.
