Can you help me with the other side of the story?

Beitragvon diwali » 16.09.05 @ 16:29

Hi.

First of all I would like to apologize for the treatment you got from the danish police. It is a new law imposed by the government who gives the police permission to do preventive arrests and the law is heavily enforced against football supporters.

At the same time i would to congratulate you for a very good performance in the stadium and a nice protest the first 10 minutes as well.

At the Brondby webzine www.allehaderos.dk we are very interested in supporters lack of legal rights.

At the moment we only have the police-version saying that they were attacked by 150 armed hooligans and that the major arrest almost a stopped a civil war.

We are very interested in bringing the other side of this story, as we know the police-version is a lie or at least dramatized.

Could some of you, who were in Denmark last night, please write me an email?

Does one of you guys speak German? If so, please send me a PM and I can send you a longer Text on the way I saw things. I'm afraid I don't really have the time to translate the entire thing though...

hope that it will not end up in a ban for our team or god knows what...

This part I don't understand:

I do not know if you got the thread but just in case that you did not, just say so and it will be resent - if you wisch in english.

What do you mean?

The danish media reported just after the riots that 3 policemen were hurt. I don't think they were seriously hurt, as we haven't heard anything about it since.

I don't know how many Brondbyfans will turn up in Zürich. When we played Ajax we were 3500, we were 3000 in Barcelona and 2000 in Schalke.

But I don't think Zürich can draw that same attention. It's a long trip and some people might think that we are allready ready for the groupstage and save the money. So I would say 1000 or maybe 1500.

We have translated the official club statement into danish: http://allehaderos.dk/?artid=376

And here is an interview with three Zürich fans: http://allehaderos.dk/?artid=378

Also the biggest danish football internet medium have wrote an article called "Zurich fans schocked by danish police":
