I understand that you got a rough treatment by our local dansish police. Here in Denmark we have a lot of trouble with those damn idiots, - the cops are the wost hooligans in dansih football these days. I dont trust what the police a saying to the media about what happend, so i woud really like to get i contackt with some of your lot who were there, so i ca write an articel for our fanzine. It was for the first time in danish history, that police was shooting at football-fans. 115 were arrested. 6 will be sent to court friday. The others are released friday morning.
Seven warning-shots was fired, when a group og scwitch footbal-hooligans under their way to the match Brondby-Zurich attacked nine policemen at Brøndbyøster s-trainstation near Brondby Stadium, danish national press writes at midnight. 4 persons was wounded - 3 were policemen. Danish police had been told by Zürich Police, that the game was a lowrick-match. Therefore no extra securities had been taken.
Zúrich police tells thursday night, that there is a group of 30-50 hardcores hooligans for zürich. The police didn't give any information about this to danish plice before the match.
About 200 fans from Zürich were in the train from copenhagen to the local station nearby Brøndby Stadium. A few uniformed policemen was at the train, and also policemen undercover. Everything was nice and peacefully, but some of the fans were observed writing graffitti, it was told at a press-conferrence thursday night.
Civil Policem tried to arrest the graffitti-painters, and a mob attacked the police.
At Brøndby Øster S-trainstation policemen were shooting several warningshoots with their guns. the police said, that many of the Zürich-hools were wearing weapons.
The riots began in the s-train with a lot of Zürich-fans leaving from Copenhagen central-station to the local-station nearby Brøndby Stadium. In the train maybe 200 fans were escorted only by a few policemen. The fans had come to Denmark in busses.
Afterwards there also were fighting before the match closeby the stadium, press wrotes.
Police in the Brondby Subburb was so few, that they had to get help from policestations in copenhagen. Several streets in brondby was closed by police during the riots.
Locals were telling, that at least 21 policecars were in action during the riot. A lot of people was taken to hospital.
People are telling to the local TV-station, that police were overacting and that the situation was totally out of police-control. A lot of innocents were arrested, eyewitnesses were telling.
At midnight press tells, that most of the arrested fans are releases, but a few will be prisoned until friday, where they are taken to court.
